This is the week, I call a place between a place. Like a secret grotto, where laying low between holidays affords me time to reflect on the year past and the one to come. Goals, achievements, hopes and misses dance by my eyes. The struggle is real folks. For all of us. Following dreams and passions is not for the faint of heart. I’ve recently made the mistake of complaining aloud about this or that regarding my last few years on this jewelry artist journey. A friend of a friend shot back, (in love I’m sure) “F-you for doing what you love”. We laughed . While for him there was sincerity in it, for me, truth.
I came across this image and it is one I will carry into the new year. It speaks volumes to me at this time. It encourages me to chance a peek around the corner, or into the New Year.
I’m hoping it translates into your world as well.
